TB-500 is a synthetic peptide fragment of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a naturally occurring protein involved in tissue repair, cell migration, and angiogenesis. TB-500 corresponds to the active region of the larger Thymosin Beta-4 molecule and is studied for its regenerative properties, particularly in soft tissue healing, inflammation modulation, and recovery from musculoskeletal injury.
Enhanced Cell Migration: Promotes actin regulation within cells, improving cellular movement to injury sites — a critical component of tissue repair.
Accelerated Soft Tissue Recovery: Demonstrates potential to support healing of muscle, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue in preclinical models.
Angiogenesis Support: Stimulates new blood vessel formation, improving blood flow and nutrient delivery to damaged tissues.
Reduced Inflammation: May downregulate inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress at sites of injury.
Systemic Tissue Distribution: Unlike some peptides that act locally, TB-500 is thought to circulate systemically, potentially supporting multiple injury sites simultaneously.
